Why are you merging TacheBack and Movember?
We recognised that TacheBack and Movember have exactly the same goals, to bring back the moustache and to raise money and awareness for men's health issues in a fun and quirky way.
Therefore we took the decision to merge TacheBack with Movember to pool our resources, streamline our message and focus all our energy on raising as much money and awareness as possible for male cancer research.
Joining forces will not only save administrative costs but will also reduce confusion over two similarly hairy activities, Movember and TacheBack.
Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. The month of November is renamed Movember for the campaign, Mo being slang for a moustache.
While Movember is relatively new in the UK, it started in Melbourne, Australia in 2003 as a challenge to bring back the moustache. Movember has continued to grow each year, both in terms of participation numbers and funds raised. In its first year, 30 Mo Bros took part in Movember and last year, across the globe more than 250,000 Mo Bro & Sistas got on board, raising more than £25 million across Movember’s men’s health partners globally.
When will the partnership be introduced?
The partnership is effective immediately and the TacheBack team is working closely with Movember to make this year's campaign a huge success. To register and find out more details about this year's campaign click here.
All funds raised in the UK by Movember will support their two beneficiary charity partners, Everyman and The Prostate Cancer Charity. This is a fantastic opportunity for Everyman to increase the amount we are able to raise for our vital cancer research. For more information click here.
This year, you’ll need to register to grow your 'tache through Movember and grow time is throughout November. Registration is now open! Click here to register.
